Treasure Hunter is a 2D pixel extraction RPG with a simple premise: kill, loot, extract.
The design challenge was capturing that specific flavor of childhood gaming nostalgia, the one that smells like dial-up and RuneScape, and translating it into a modern brand identity and a trailer that made people feel it in their chest. Beyond the brand and the trailer, the game still needed to reach people. Zero marketing budget, still in beta, and everything from partner pitches to Discord architecture to launch strategy built and run by one person: me. Art direction and motion; game and UI assets by the Treasure Hunter team.
Brand identity — visual system for a 2D pixel extraction RPG.
Warm earthy tones are the foundation. Gold accents for emphasis, status colors for UI feedback only. Pixel typography for headings, Nunito for body. Every surface should feel like parchment, wood, or leather.
